Description: Fashion a hammered silver band and top it with an 18k gold tube setting and a beautiful faceted stone. The instructor will take students step-by-step through the creation process, including hammering, soldering, setting, and polishing, to create a ring they won’t believe they could make themselves.
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Fine-tip permanent marker, hammer with rounded polished face (email instructor or check web site for details), metal files, optivisors, reading glasses, ruler, steel ring mandrel, jeweler’s saw frame and blades, bezel rocker and/or burnisher, task lamp.
Pliers: Chainnose, flatjaw, nylon-lined.
Materials in Kit: Silver, gold setting, stone.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
