Technique: Fiber-related, Metalwork, Wirework
Description: Using copper sheets, birch bark, and decorative and painted papers, students will weave flat surfaces that will then be made into jewelry. Students will make several necklaces and earrings and will also learn embossing on copper, painting with metallics, and basic wirework. Students will have the option of making embossed copper beads to accent several unique pieces of jewelry. Additional session offered Sunday morning, June 8 (B08585).
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Scissors, task lamp.
Pliers: Chainnose, flush side-cutting, long needlenose.
Materials in Kit: Copper foil, wire, paint, paper, embossing materials, copper for beads, embellishment beads, waxed linen, ear wires, findings.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
