Technique: Metal Clay/Silver Clay
Description: Learn how to weave with ‘paper’ metal clay. Frame your masterpiece in a handmade artisan frame pendant. Techniques covered include manipulating paper clay, texturing clay, tearing clay for artistic effect, and building layered objects. Learn how to set a cabochon into a bezel cup set in metal clay. Detailed instructions will be given – please be on time so you don’t miss a minute!
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Magnifiers, paper, pen, pencils, personal metal clay tools, task lamp, favorite texturing tools or surfaces.
Materials in Kit: 18 g PMC+, PMC sheet clay, brush, glass, tissue blade, clay pick, roller, extra spacers, 10 x 7-in. work surface, polishing pad, fine silver bezel cup, amethyst cabochon, use of instructor’s tools and kiln.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
