Technique: Metalwork, Wirework
Description: Fabricate a leaf in a fall color and embellish it with wire-wrapped pearls. It makes a great gift for anyone. Students will learn to saw, solder, form, fine finish, and apply patina. Students should wear cotton clothing, close-toed shoes, and tie back long hair.
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Bench block, wire cutter, scissors (Fiskars recommended), Sharpie marker, safety glasses, magnification as needed.
Pliers: Chasing hammer, long roundnose.
Materials in Kit: Sterling sheet metal, sterling round wire, solder, pearls, jeweler’s saw, sawblades, bench pin, clamp, fine tweezers, full-color handout. Instructor will bring some tools and materials to use in class.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
