Technique: Bead Crochet
Description: This is a technique class in which students will learn the slip stitch method of bead crochet. This is the method most often used in bead crochet ropes. Students will begin with fat yarn and larger beads and will progress to smaller yarn and beads as the class goes on. Changing yarn and the invisible join will also be covered. Prerequisite: Students must be adept at the basic crochet chain stitch.
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 12 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Beading mat, scissors, task lamp.
Materials in Kit: Starter tube, three sizes of crochet cotton, two crochet hooks, big-eye needle, sufficient beads to complete two bangles, tapestry needle, stitch holder.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
