Technique: Polymer Clay
 
Description: Students will sculpt a stylized flying bird from polymer clay, accented with crystals, beads, and pearls and completed with a hinged straight pin back. The class emphasizes individual creativity and stresses color mixing, surface treatment, composition, and adding crystal and beaded accents. In Christi's full-day workshop, the emphasis is on “your” creativity and design. Having a full day allows for each student to follow their own pace and impulses. No one's pieces are ever alike, it is truly a workshop on creativity as much as on technique. All skill levels are welcome by the teacher - you'll find it easier than you think, and as challenging as you need. Color options are available for the finished piece. Project will be completed in class.
 
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
 
Supplies to Bring: Flush-cut wire cutters, tweezers, task lamp. Optional: Pasta machine.
 
Pliers: Chainnose.
 
Materials in Kit: Handouts, polymer clay, accent beads, wire, head pins, sculpting tool. Tools for class use will be provided.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
