Description: What better way to play with color than by making bead soups? Just as a painter mixes different pigments on her palette, you will learn how to make bead soups that contain depth and movement. Students will focus on single palettes of color then explore ways to wash them together. You will apply what you learn by designing and making a color wash piece that glows! Whether you are comfortable with your own sense of color or a little intimidated, you will come away with techniques that you can apply in your own beadwork and in your home. Kits for this class are designed so you can pull together your own color combinations from a vast array of single palette bead soups. You may reserve bead soup palettes on-line at: www.gilbertdesigns.net.
 
Project will not be completed in class.
 
Student must be at least 12 years old to register for this class.
 
Supplies to Bring: Task lamp. Instructor provides all other materials required in class.
 
Materials in Kit: Color wheel, needles, wax, thread, bead mat, closure, carrying case. Your choice of five single-palette bead soups each contain: seed beads, gems, pearls, other beads within a color family.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
