Description: Learn some fundamental knots and techniques of micro-macrame jewelry and make a knotted and beaded bracelet in class. Using the most essential knot, the double half-hitch, students will make a knotted cylinder bead that can be embellished with beads. The cylinder bead will be the focal point of a multi-strand beaded bracelet. The bracelet design is clean and contemporary, yet can be made as ornate as the student wants it to be. Students will choose their own color combinations based on the seed beads they provide. Additional session offered Friday evening, June 6 (B08793).
 
Project will not be completed in class.
 
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
 
Supplies to Bring: #10 and #12 beading needles, bead dish, clear nail polish, macrame board, Nymo D, ruler, scissors, task lamp, approximately 60 in. of strung 11/0–13/0 seed beads, bead thread in a complementary color to the seed beads. Optional: Big-eye needle, accent beads.
 
Materials in Kit: Bracelet cord, findings, goldtone toggle clasp, embroidery needle, instructions.
 
Limit: One seat per person per class.
