Description: Students will learn to etch their own unique designs onto art glass beads, as well as many tips and tricks for successfully using stencils and resists to create frosted images on glass. Students will have a chance to experiment with a variety of materials and techniques using glass beads they have made or purchased in advance. Additional session offered Wednesday evening, June 4 (B08559).
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Materials in Kit: Tools for creating stencils and using resists safely, such as a self-healing cutting mat; vinyl stencil material; stencil knife; tweezers; acid resist gel; small brushes; gloves; class summary and technical info sheet; a respirator mask rated for acid vapor and organic fumes.
