Description: Learn how to copper plate almost any surface, including glass, polymer or wood clay, stones, or seed pods. Glass beads will be electroformed from start to finish in this hands-on workshop. All other media will be discussed and demonstrated. Students will leave with a clear knowledge of studio setup and suppliers. Additional sessions offered Monday, June 2 (B08576) and Tuesday, June 3 (B08577).
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Magnifiers, task lamp. Instructor provides all tools required for use in class.
Materials in Kit: Kate Meleney lampworked bead to electroform; patinaed, electroformed end cap; two natural pods prepared for electroforming paint; stainless steel neck cable with silver closure; use of electroforming paint, solution, anodes.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
