Technique: Glass and Lampworking
Description: Finesse your work by placing dots where you want them and applying stringer with control. Also, sculpt and paint flowers, learn hollow forms both blown and on mandrel, get a grip on Latticino, and use vessel forms to explore shapes. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Didymium or safety glasses, graphite marvers, mandrels, mashers, personal lampworking tools, stump shaper (brass), tungsten pick.
Materials in Kit: Glass, frits, foil, bead release.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
