Level: All Levels Maximum Class Size: 20 Class Fee: $130.00 Technique: Metalwork, Wirework Description: Create a ring of many textures to wrap around your finger. Students will explore several techniques to create texture and patterns on wire. Shape and finish the wire into a chunky but wearable ring. Additional session offered Wednesday, June 4 (B08541). Project will be completed in class. Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class. Supplies to Bring: Bench block, chasing hammer, masking tape, plastic hammer, ruler, heavy-duty household hammer, metal ring mandrel, mouse pad for the bench block, assortment of steel design stamps (some will be available in class to share), cross-locking tweezers. Optional: Ear plugs. Pliers: Chainnose without grooves, flush side-cutting, nylon-jaw wire straightener. Materials in Kit: Fine-silver wire, polishing pads, texture materials, patina solution, safety materials, use of a tumbler and butane torch. Limit: One seat per person per class.
