Description: This course will explore the many ways that bead artists can personalize their color palette. Students will explore techniques such as layering and mixing colors to fulfil their vision. Although Italian glass offers an array of colors, a student’s own color palette will become an asset in their bead artistry. This course is a great first step toward creating a signature style. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear didymium glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Didymium glasses, graphite marvers, personal lampworking tools, pen, notebook.
Materials in Kit: Glass rods, mandrels, bead release.
