Technique: Glass and Lampworking
Description: This class is for students with basic skills on a dual-fuel torch who wish to improve their ability to shape glass and to “read the heat” while forming a bead. After improving their skills, students, will be able to concentrate on advanced design techniques. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear didymium glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Didymium glasses, graphite marvers, personal lampworking tools, tweezers, pen, notebook.
Materials in Kit: Glass rods, mandrels, bead release.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
