Description: Unlock the mysteries of stringer construction and application. With demonstrations and practice using Italian glass, students will explore everything from simple stringers to complex canes and Latticino. They will also practice applying stringers using methods that will make their decorative efforts more successful. Unlock the mysteries of stringer construction and application. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear didymium glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Didymium glasses, graphite marvers, personal lampworking tools, tweezers, pen, notebook.
Materials in Kit: Glass rods, mandrels, bead release.
