Maximum Class Size: 10
Class Fee: $250.00
Technique: Glass and Lampworking
Description: Learn to create fun and funky glass cabochon rings in three styles with layers of transparent glass, frit, and a little dichroic glass for sparkle. Melted glass that is pressed into a flat platform is the base on which these rings are built. Use a marble mold to create a cabochon, add layers of glass, and, when melted, cut or twist to create ruffles or petals. The cabochon glued to the ring base makes a beautiful sparkler for your finger. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will be completed in class.
