Level: Intermediate Maximum Class Size: 12 Class Fee: $250.00 Technique: Glass and Lampworking Description: Explore how metals can be used to modify or make new colors and effects in and on glass beads. Examine leafs and foils, wire, fuming, frits, and powders. Emphasis will be on developing original designs. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back. Project will be completed in class. Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class. Supplies to Bring: Any metal inclusions (fine silver, copper, etc.), safety glasses, personal lampworking tools. Materials in Kit: 1 lb. assorted glass, metals and wire, leafs and foils. Use of instructor’s hand tools, mandrels, and specialized tools in class. Limit: One seat per person per class.
