Technique: Glass and Lampworking
Description: In this workshop, the instructor will introduce beginners to creating palettes and cane to make a wide range of kiln-formed beads. Students will focus on creating landscapes, but more abstract designs will be introduced. The instrcutor will encourage students to create fresh and innovative color combinations, and teach the basics of glass cutting and coldwork, layout and design, basic molds, firing schedules, and more. This is an excellent course for anyone interested in kiln-forming glass ideas.
Project will not be completed in class.
Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Small reclosable bags, paper, pen, pencils.
Materials in Kit: Mold-making supplies, kiln paper, kiln wash, glass, rain poncho.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
