Description: Create fantastic beads with amazing movement that seems to come from within. Learn to use a variety of soft glass colors that are known for their mysterious luster due to a high metal content. The instructor will share his vast knowledge of working with these challenging silver-luster colors. Class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. Wear safety (didymium) glasses, cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
Project will be completed in class.
Student must be at least 18 years old to register for this class.
Supplies to Bring: Didymium or safety glasses, writing materials, favorite lampworking tools.
Materials in Kit: Six rods of various high silver- and copper-content glasses; several varieties of frit from the above palette; two rods of white, black, and ivory; various sizes of clear soft glass.
