Description: The Byzantine chain is the basis for this elegant pair of earrings. Five gauges and sizes of jump rings will be used to give the earrings a graceful taper. The Byzantine chain pattern will be taught using copper jump rings, and we’ll construct the earrings using tarnish-resistant Argentium Sterling Silver jump rings. The earrings will be completed and polished in class.
Project will be completed in class. Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class. Supplies to Bring: Optivisor or other hands-free magnifying device, task lamp. Optional: extension cord.
Pliers: Bentnose, chainnose without grooves, flatnose without grooves. Instructor prefers Lindstrom.
Materials in Kit: Argentium Sterling Silver jump rings and earring wires, copper jump rings for learning and practice, pick, jump ring opener, handout.
Limit: One seat per person per class.
