Pearl Knotting
Description: The ancient art of knotting gets an update with this dramatic necklace featuring four colors of crystal pearls. Learn how to plan the design, then knot the beads together on silk cord using a knotting tool. Most students will complete the necklace in class. The instructor will be assisted by Bead Master flash animation.
Project will be completed in class. Student must be at least 16 years old to register for this class. Supplies to Bring: Task lamp, magnifier or reading glasses (if needed).
Materials in Kit: 8 mm and 4 mm round light gray pearl crystal beads; 10 mm and 6 mm round bronze pearl crystal beads; 9 x 8 mm twist bronze pearl crystal beads; 12 mm and 6 mm round brown pearl crystal beads; 12 mm, 10 mm, 4 mm round light green pearl crystal beads; 12 mm, 6 mm, 4 mm round burgundy crystal beads; carded white silk with needle; Knotter tool; jeweler's cement; beading board. All materials, including the knotting tool and step-by-step instructional pamphlet, are included in the free kit supplied by Beadalon and CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements.
